yesterday was my birthday and this weekend was so wonderful-
ferry building/farmer's market breakfast english pea soup (above) and pork leg with polenta at bar jules a gift I've been longing for from jon (above) making frangipane, lemon curd and blackberry tarts and tea sandwiches picnicing in the park with best friends (who gave me generous gifts of plum and rosemary jam, jewelry and a cookbook)
birthdays are always the best when you are reminded of all the amazing people in your life!
ps I'm set on figuring out the perfection of that soup- more later
